I appreciate all the work that goes into educating and supporting women to have natural child birth. We did all that we could to try and go that route and ended up with a frank breach emergency c-sec. It took me years to get over. I am pregnant again now and am going to try and do VBAC. My point here is that part of my postpartum c-sec recovery was trying to alleviate the pressure and fear that had been instilled in me by this type of video. It is sad and scary that women first have to deal with the pressure from docs to have one and then the guilt associated if they don’t “do it.” There are other ways to communicate the importance of this issue.

This is an excellent video that shows a very different side of the cesarean than you typically see. Great recommendations at the end of the video also.
