Obs are trained to take care of ‘patients’ who are high risk and are prepared for the worst case senario. in reallity only about 10% of pregnant women will develop any problem that could cause harm to her or her baby. let the midwives do there job with the 90% of women who need no interventions during pregnancy and leave the 10% that need medical care to the OBs.
